Flight 35, CASARA Manitoba and the RAA Manitoba chapter held a successful Rust Remover on January 25, at the CASARA building at St. Andrews Airport. This event had been well advertised and it showed, with approximately 125 attending. There was standing room only.
Our presenters were Aaron Doherty from Harv’s Air and Pete Firlotte from Transport Canada. The topics discussed were: “What's New for Safety in 2007,” an accident recap of 2006 and “Other frequencies used around Winnipeg and St. Andrews.”
Both presentations were informative and entertaining. As always the sessions were followed by a lively question and answer session and coffee and donuts between presentations.
Flight 35 will continue in 2007 with regular meetings starting the first Tuesday in April at 7 p.m. and continue on until October. In the mean time we will be hosting Young Eagles Flights, the annual fly-out to Peace Gardens on Sunday of Labour Day weekend in September and the Air Rally in early October.
