Our group enjoyed an evening of watching a Safety and Awareness video on different aspects of aviation which was obtained from Transport Canada.
COPA finalized the COPA For Kid Aviation Program. We will now begin planning our day with our young aviators. We are also planning a breakfast or luncheon at the airport this spring or early summer.
Some of our members have been flying out to other clubs. Three planes went to Lacombe and enjoyed the camaraderie of the Lacombe Flying Club members on January 18. Another day in February some members flew to Unity, Sask. and visited with some of the Unity Flying Club members.
We enjoyed their hospitality and took advantage of their courtesy vehicle to go into town for a lunch. They have an active group building homebuilt aircraft and are currently working on a RV9.
We have been in contact with an aviation instructor and inquired on the availability of having a ground school, check ride and even a flight school for our new members and for members who would like a refresher coarse. This will be available if the numbers of participants are available.
If you are interested in any of these aspects contact the Iron Creek Flying Club Box 734, Sedgewick, AB T0B 4C0, Bob Baker at 780-384-2026 or e-mail: email@example.com.
The aviation club is for everyone in the community. If you enjoy visiting or are interested in what is taking place at the airport come on out to our functions; we usually get in a few laughs during the night.
