Cross country cup billed as a 100th Anniversary of Flight event

By Steve Eastwick

COPA flight 27/The Havelock Flying Club is pleased to announce the winner of the 2008 Cross Country Cup: Mr. John Navaux of Riverview N.B.

A retired Air Traffic Controller Navaux is the proud owner of a Challenger Ultralight and an RV-6 which gives him time on both ends of the speed spectrum. Navaux visited the most locations in COPAs "Places to Fly" section winning a one year membership in COPA, the trophy as seen in the accompanying picture, and a steak breakfast sponsored by Flight 27.

The rules remain the same for the 2009 Cross Country Cup which is billed as a 100th Anniversary of Flight in Canada event. The Contest runs from now to Sunday Nov 1, 2009. Fly to as many airports as possible in the "Places to Fly" section on COPA’s website and present your Journey Log at any COPA 27/Havelock Flying Club Sunday morning breakfast during October 2009 to enter. The Pilot with the most locations wins.

Please, we cannot accept faxed or e-mailed entries and we cannot meet you at another airport, simply get out and enjoy the scenery, stop in for breakfast, and enter to win.
