Four members of COPA Flight 148 visited the CWH Museum on Dec. 9, 2007. Our fly out that day was washed out due to weather so we decided to drive instead. Glenn Gale, a member of both COPA flight 148 and the CWH Museum, escorted us through the museum and provided a personalized commentary on various aircraft at the museum.
Through the years he had worked on many of the piston aircraft and had interesting anecdotes concerning the aircraft and the pilots and members who repair and refurbish them.
We had visited the memorials on the walls that pay homage to the decorated and the fallen. In particular, and for me a personal tribute, was to see the memorial in the book of those who will be "forever young" the name of my uncle; F/O Paul Roche 550 Sqn. June 28/29, 1944.
The tour of the museum was a wonderful trip well worth doing again and again.
