On May 24, the Rideau Lakes Flying Club and Flight 56 held a breakfast fly/splash-in at CRL2. Volunteers served up a ham, eggs and baked beans breakfast for more than 50 people who arrived on both wings and wheels. COPA President/CEO Kevin Psutka and COPA Flight Editor Michel Hell dropped in for a bite on the way to the Wings and Wheels Heritage Festival at Downsview Airport in Toronto. Following breakfast Psutka presented a special plague to long-time club leader Dr. Mendal McEwen. McEwen and Bill MacLean were also named the first honorary members of the Rideau Lakes Flying Club. Both have been instrumental in the successful and ongoing development of CRL2.
