Flight 5 held its first ever COPA For Kids Flight Day on Saturday, May 2. The weather co-operated and the rains held off until the last flight had landed.
We had 89 kids pre-register and we flew a total of 85 kids on the flight day. Seeing the smiles on their faces after their flight made all the effort worth while. I would declare this COPA For Kids Flight Day a huge success and we plan on doing more in the future. In fact we already have another planned for mid-September.
There was lots of volunteer help and every-one stepped forward and did a wonderful job in the organization and safety of the day.
Again it was a very successful day and I would like to thank once again all the volunteers for there enthusiasm and professionalism. Their work ethic was very much appreciated and made for an enjoyable day.
