Aviation in itself is not inherently dangerous. But to an even greater degree than the sea, it is terribly unforgiving of any carelessness, incapacity or neglect. (Captain A.G. Lamplugh cir. 1930)
The COPA Flight Safety Foundation provides a variety of aviation safety related educational and training services to the Canadian general aviation community and relies exclusively on donations to fund these services. The Foundation is a registered charity and tax receipts are issued for all donations over $10.
The Foundation also administers the Neil Armstrong Scholarship Fund which promotes Canadian pilot development by providing annual scholarships to student pilots in both ab initio and advanced flight training programs. Click here for further information about the Scholarship fund.

Flight Safety Bulletin
The COPA Flight Safety Bulletin is published monthly through the COPA Flight newspaper. It covers advanced safety topics and refreshers to help pilots maintain proficiency in their flying skills. The bulletins are written by Dale Nielsen a military and civil aviation pilot with over 33 years of experience. He holds a Class 1 instructor rating and conducts instructional technique seminars for flight instructors.
Annual Rust Remover seminars are held by COPA Flights across Canada to provide pilots with springtime refreshers. Checkout On the Horizon for a list of date and locations.
