More discounts for COPA members

Adam Hunt, COPA’s manager Member Services and Representation has been busy nailing down more accommodation discounts for COPA members. The new discount programs this month are with Days Inn,

Gouverneur Hotels and with the Toronto Valhalla Inn. These are in addition to the Travelodge discounts announced last month, (See "The Canadian Travelodge Members Benefit Program," Canadian Flight, January 2001, front page.)

The following is a summary of the COPA members discount programs to date. This will appear in the upcoming COPA Canadian Flight Annual 2001 and will be repeated on the COPA Web site: www.copanational.org. Click on "Membership Benefits".

Hotels:
Travelodge Canada
Travelodge Canada includes Travelodge Hotels, Travelodge Suites and Thriftlodge hotels in over 90 locations in Canada. Bookings and cancellations must be made through the national toll-free service

Discount: Special Preferred Rate, which averages 20 per cent off regular rates. This is well below the normal corporate rates. Travelodge Canada makes a contribution to COPA for each night a COPA member stays at a Travelodge Hotel.

The Valhalla Inn
The Valhalla Inn is located near the intersection of Highway 401 and 427, close to Toronto’s Lester B. Pearson International Airport. It is an independent hotel, not affiliated with any hotel chain. Bookings and cancellations must be made through the national toll-free service.

Discount: The Valhalla Inn offers COPA members a flat rate of $135 per night.

Gouverneur Hotels

Rental Cars
COPA has selected Hertz as our exclusive supplier of rental cars following a competition between all major rental car companies in Canada. We believe that this deal gives COPA members their best possible combination of price, locations, service and support for your association.

Discount: Hertz offers COPA members a flat discount rate on rentals in Canada, the USA and worldwide. In the USA and Canada this discount is 15 per cent off standard daily, weekly, weekend and monthly rentals; five per cent off leisure rates and one-way leisure rates for economy and compact cars, 10 per cent on intermediate and larger cars; and 5 per cent off promotional rates. There is also a fixed maximum rate for each type of car to protect COPA members in high rental cost areas. Hertz makes a contribution to COPA for each vehicle rented.
