Plans for the COPA Convention 2001 include three hotels that are offering special rates to COPA members. A shuttle service will be provided from the hotels to the airport for the seminars and the trade-show.
Book your hotel early as the convention is in the prime tourist season. Cancellations without penalty are allowed within 24 hours of your stay.
The accommodations are arranged to suit your budget and taste. The Comfort Inn is priced at $115/room. Hair dryer, minibar, coffee machines, and a complimentary continental breakfast are standard. Jacuzzi and fireplace suites are available.
The attached Garden Buffet restaurant offers hotel guests a 10 per cent discount. It is within walking distance of Canadian Tire, Sobeys, Tim Hortons, a video store and a variety of fast food restaurants.
The Quality Inn also includes a deluxe-continental breakfast with their $95/room rate. Coffee maker and hair dryer are standard and a whirlpool is located off the lobby. Located at Landsdowne and the Parkway it is close to stores and restaurants. In both of these hotels children under 18 stay free when accompanied by a parent.
The COPA Convention breakfast and supper will be served at the Rockhaven Motel and Convention Centre on Saturday, July 7. Your full buffet breakfast will include no MSG or peanuts. Special diets like celiac and lactose free are accommodated if pre-booked. Room rates are $75. This motel is a short walk to Shoppers Drug Mart, The Yarn Shop, and the Bamboo Restaurant.
Camping under the wing has been arranged near the tree line on the airport property. Recreational vehicle and tent camping will be accommodated where possible. The Cockpit Restaurant in the airport terminal building serves fresh coffee and homemade butter tarts.
