John Foottit, Nav Canada manager, Aviation Weather Services, has announced that the air navigation service provider will be releasing a new Aviation Weather Web site. The more powerful site will require more modern minimum PC requirements to access it.
Minimum: PC Type: INTEL or equivalent 80486, 100MHz PC with 32 MBytes of RAM running Windows 95 or Power MAC 7200 with 32 MBytes of RAM running System 8.
Browser Level: Netscape version 4.5 or Internet Explorer version 4.0
Monitor Resolution: 800x600 24-bit colour
Internet Access: dial-up 28.8 kbps modem
A release date has not been determined but a test site will be demonstrated at the COPA Convention 2001, in Peterborough, Ont., July 6-8.
