Iqualuit is out of gas

COPA member Bert Rose of Iqaluit, Nunavut sent a warning about an unfortunate problem at their airport.
“Just a quick note to let you know there is now a NOTAM in effect for 100LL avgas in Iqaluit. Basically the aviation gasoline that is here now has congealed over the winter taking it out of spec for sales to transient airplanes. The bad news is that we now have no avgas for sale to piston-engined aircraft passing through Iqaluit. The NOTAM may remain in place for several months until details of a new avgas delivery are arranged. Please check for updates before setting out with a plan to use Iqaluit as an aircraft refueling point.”
