As a result of studies on increased runway incursion hazards, Transport Canada and Nav Canada have embarked on an awareness campaign to further educate the aviation industry about the hazards around runways and taxiways, and to reduce the number of runway incursions. COPA President and CEO Kevin Psutka has provided feedback to the development of the awareness campaign. His suggestions centre on the fact that any increase in overall aviation safety is dependant on all the players involved, not just pilots.
