Just a reminder that there are elections taking
place for COPA directors in two regions. In the British Columbia and the Yukon
region, there are four candidates nominated. Ken Armstrong, Randy Ford, Daniel
(Dan) K. O’Brien and Tony Swain are running for two director positions. Election
ballots and envelopes were included in the March Canadian Flight going to this
region. COPA members in B.C. and the Yukon may vote for one of two candidates.
In Southern Ontario, 11 candidates are running for three positions. Herb
Cunningham, Phil Englishman, Peter B. Fransham, Ken Gamble, Glenn Grenier, Darin
Graham, Paul-André (Andy) Guénette, Kevin D. Mayville, Nick Schwertfeger, Joe
Scoles and Matthew Stikeman have been nominated. The Southern Ontario region
covers all postal codes in Ontario except “P.” Election ballots and envelopes
have been inserted in the COPA publications going to this region. Members living
in Southern Ontario vote for one, two or three of the candidates listed on the
ballot.
In order for your vote to be counted, write your COPA membership number on the
outside of the envelope.
Completed ballots must arrive at the COPA office by no later than April 15, 2002
at 17:00 (EST). If you do not have a ballot and/or envelope for some reason and
you live in one of the election regions, additional ballots are available by
mail or fax from the COPA office, Tel.: 613-236-4901. The election envelope may
be substituted as long as it is addressed to COPA, is marked “ballot enclosed”
and has a current membership number written on the front. More election
information appears on the home page of the COPA Web site:
www.copanational.org See, “COPA
director elections declared in two regions.” The election results will be
published in the May issue of Canadian Flight.
