Recently Canadian Flight announced that the Bar
River Airport, near Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., was now open to transient aircraft –
no Prior Permission Required. The airport is owned and operated by COPA member
Dan Springer who runs his aircraft overhaul business, Skyservices, there.
Effective immediately – the airport is now open for fuel Monday to Friday 8:30
to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday by prior arrangement. Call 705-248-2158 for

The Bar River Airport is a great place to land in the Sault Ste. Marie area – no
landing or parking fees, reasonable avgas prices and free courtesy vehicle. It
