For the last few years COPA has been trying to find a financial institution
interested in a dedicated aircraft finance program to get more COPA members
flying. After lots of looking there have been no financial institutions
interested in a special COPA program, but one member recently found a source of
help in arranging aircraft loans.
COPA member David Redmond found Julie Stevenson at the Royal Bank Main Branch in
Victoria, B.C., very helpful. She was able to organize an aircraft loan for him
very quickly and with great enthusiasm.
I have checked with Julie and she can put together loans at competitive interest
rates at long amortization periods with 25 per cent down, using the aircraft as
collateral for the loan. Because she is with the Royal Bank she is able to
organize aircraft loans anywhere in Canada.
Loans are individually assessed and based on your own individual credit rating.
