Since its publication early in 2001, the AOPA/COPA
Guide to Cross Border Operations has proven a popular resource for COPA members
looking for information on flying to the USA. It has also been popular amongst
AOPA members looking for information on flying to Canada.
Early in the life of the book September 11th occurred and much of the
information in that first edition of the book was out of date quickly. Updating
the book proved to be a moving target as security requirements across the border
changed rapidly. Now a new edition of the manual is available that incorporates
all the changes that have happened since 9/11. The book also incorporates all of
the suggestions made by many COPA members who read the first edition.
The AOPA/COPA Guide to Cross Border Operations (United States/Canada) Second
Interim Edition is available to COPA members free on the COPA Web site, under
“Members Only,” “COPA Guides” in both HTML and MS Word formats. Paper versions
are available to COPA members for the same price as the first edition - $10.60
(including taxes and postage). Non-member price: $15.90.
