The 2004 COPA Aviation Insurance program
brochure is now available for download in PDF format on the COPA Web site:
www.copanational.org. Click on the
Insurance button at the top of the homepage.
The new brochure includes Silver Wings prices for 2004, along with the forms to
apply for both Silver Wings coverage and Gold Wings quotes.
The brochure also outlines the new COPA hangar liability insurance along with
perennial favourites such as “work in progress” insurance for aircraft under
construction and “non-owned hull” insurance.
The 2004 brochure has been designed to be even more informative and easy to use
than previous years, with simpler forms, rate tables and a new “frequently asked
questions” section.
COPA members applying for insurance commencing on January 1, 2004 should use the
new 2004 brochure. COPA members who require insurance that will start on or
before Dec. 31, 2003 should use the 2003 brochure.
The 2003 brochure will be available on the COPA Web site until the end of 2003.
There is no need to phone Marsh Insurance to get aviation insurance.
Marsh cannot give Gold Wings quotes over the phone or arrange Silver Wings
policies over the phone. All the information and forms that the applicant needs
are in the 2004 brochure.
Marsh cannot get aviation insurance coverage for COPA members without a
completed Gold or Silver Wings form with a signature on it. To apply for Silver
Wings insurance – use the brochure to calculate the coverage that you want.
Fill out the form, sign it and then either mail it to Marsh Insurance with a
credit card number or cheque or fax it to Marsh Insurance with a credit card
number.
Silver Wings coverage under COPA’s Aviation Insurance Program will be effective
on receipt of a fully and accurately, completed signed application by COPA’s
Insurance Administrator at the office of Marsh Canada Limited.
To request a quote for Gold Wings coverage fill out the Gold Wings Application
Quote form, sign it and mail or fax it to Marsh Insurance. Remember this does
not provide immediate coverage. This is only for a quote.
To apply for the COPA Aviation Insurance program you must be a legal Canadian
resident and maintain a valid COPA Membership for the duration of your policy.
Starting in 2004, COPA Insurance is only valid for Canadian registered aircraft.
