COPA launches 2004 Aviation Directory

The COPA Annual has a new name! It is now called the COPA Aviation Directory and is still available online to all COPA members.
This one-stop source of information about flying in Canada was available in a paper magazine format for years under the name Canadian Flight Annual. The disadvantage of the paper format was that most of the information was “time sensitive” and could be as much as three months out of date when the magazine was printed and more than 15 months out of date by the time the next magazine was printed.
Our Web site, and use of it, has been steadily growing. A few years ago, we transitioned time sensitive information to the Web site. Our 2002 survey indicated that 92 per cent or members have access to the Internet, so we decided to take advantage of this fact to transition from the magazine format to the online COPA Flight Annual.
This year we have changed the name of the publication to the COPA Aviation Directory as we feel that the new title best describes what it is! It’s updated “daily” instead of “annually.”
You can see for yourself by going to COPA’s Web site, www.copanational.org and clicking on COPA Aviation Directory. Any comments can be sent to webmaster@copanational.org to help improve it.
