Transport Canada Ontario Region creates new communication tool

Civil Aviation, Ontario Region Transport Canada has created a new-shared e-mail address for Recreational Aviation and General Aviation enquiries, which is intended to improve our client service by providing expedient and formal responses.

The address is RECAVONT@tc.gc.ca.

Owners of Amateur-Built, Owner Maintained and Limited Category aircraft as well as prospective buyers of foreign aircraft are encouraged to use this central e-mail address for all their inquiries. This new address will be monitored daily by Civil Aviation Safety Officers who will be acknowledging receipt of all e-mails and providing replies within ten working days.

All enquiries should include details of your inquiry, aircraft type, model and registration marks to avoid unnecessary delays to responses.

Requests for Inspection of imported aircraft can also be made through this address and will be directed to the Transport Canada inspector who is geographically closest to where the aircraft is currently based.
