COPA Unicom truck donated to museumThe 1968 Canadair 232 control tower truck which has served many years as COPA’s Unicom vehicle in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec was donated to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum (CWHM) in Hamilton Ontario on June 4. Seen here are COPA member Mark Psutka (left) and Dylon Dekleer who delivered the truck to CWHM. The truck had become too expensive to maintain in recent years so COPA set out to find a new home for it. When offered to CWHM, the museum was happy to have the historical artifact to add to their collection and plans to refinish the truck as a military example. The COPA Unicom program continues to serve fly-ins using portable equipment and manned by dedicated COPA volunteers. |
