Silver Wings insurance goes live on line

Effective May 1, 2006 COPA members can now buy Silver Wings Insurance coverage on a secure website.

This means, instead of filling out a printed form and mailing it to Marsh Canada and waiting for your policy and insurance certificate in the mail, you can now buy insurance online.

The main advantage to COPA members is you can sit down at your computer with your credit card and go flying ten minutes later with the coverage you have purchased in effect.

The Marsh Canada insurance website leads members through a simple series of questions to ascertain your insurance needs. You then complete the user-friendly forms on-line.

The on-line application calculates your premium, including your taxes and then e-mails you your insurance policy and your insurance certificate. Print the insurance certificate and carry it with you - you are ready to go flying.

For COPA members interested in buying Gold Wings coverage, for the present time you will still need to submit an application on paper. Marsh is working on moving the Gold Wings application form to the new website in the near future.
