BILL CRUIKSHANK

A scholarship in memory of Bill Cruikshank will be named the COPA Flight 45 Bill Cruikshank Scholarship. Bill was a former flight instructor at Sky Harbour Airport for many years. Some COPA Flight 45 members had the wonderful experience of Bill instructing them as student pilots and other members had the opportunity for Bill to give them their flight test. Quarter Century in Aviation Club

Bursary Award

This bursary award is established to provide assistance to a deserving student pursuing a career as an Aviation Professional, enrolled at an accredited Institute, College or University in the Province of British Columbia.

Amount : $500.00

Criteria: Available to a full time student who:

1. Is a Canadian resident

2. Has completed 50% or more of the course

3. Has a high school academic standing

4. Has the recommendation of the head of the department.

Applicants will be required to:

1. Submit a descriptive essay outlining their curriculum vitae, aviation history and career goals including but not limited to, such items as, where they see themselves in 5 to 10 years, involvement in aviation related activities, and how this bursary will help them to attain these goals. Include full name, address and phone number.

2. Submit evidence of attendance and scholastic standing.

Application may be made to:  The Secretary Quarter Century in Aviation Club #12 - 2688 - 150th Street Surrey, B. C. V4P - 1P1  Applications must be received before March 31. Award will be announced at the Annual Meeting of the Club on the third Tuesday in April.
 


THE RED RIVER EXHIBITION ASSOCIATION

In 1997 the Red River Exhibition Association developed a scholarship fund to provide opportunities for young Manitobans to further their post secondary education for a career in the Aerospace Industry. The inaugural Scholarship was established in memory of a special member of our Exhibition family, Bob Lang and has been awarded to students preparing to enter their apprenticeship training in the Aerospace Industry since 1998.
We are pleased to continue with the scholarship presentation in the lasting legacy of Bob Lang and his dedication and belief in young people in the Aerospace Industry.
