COPA represents general aviation, including business and recreational flying. However, we often get many inquiries about airline careers in Canada.  The Airline Pilots Association has put together an instructive guide called Looking For A Career Where The Sky is The Limit? to help potential commercial pilots connect with the field. COPA has also worked collaboratively with ACPA to assemble the Aviation Career and Scholarship Guide to further help student pilots plan and fund their careers.

Pilot hiring in the airline industy in Canada has historically been very cyclical but the outlook since around 2010 is phenomenal and does not seem to lose any steam.

Though going back a few years, this guide on professional pilot training from the Air Transport Association of Canada (ATAC) Professional Pilot Career Information Brochure.

A more up-to-date outlook on airline careers is found at Boeing, in their 2016 Pilot & Technician Outlook.
